Note from the artist about this piece:
“Postcard From The Shore” is a painting done as a demo for a three-day workshop I taught at the Artist Association of Nantucket. Waves are one of the hardest subjects to paint but they continue to intrigue me and are one of my most favorite subjects to paint. This painting came to life right in front of my students’ eyes and it was wonderful seeing their reaction as it evolved and developed. I tucked it away and recently revisited it with a fresh set of eyes.
