Eighteen months of lockdown shattered finally by vaccination turned my mind to the brevity of life and experience, the seemingly unending days of solitude where self, memory and imagination blurred the lines of reality and fantasy. The fragility of life is apparent to me in every grain of sand, clump of earth, blade of grass, sparkle of sunlight and color of day. The permanence of life is in the fossils it leaves behind--moments, memories, sensations, textures, smells, form, shape, color, light and shade. Every time I look at this image I think do this in remembrance of Life.
