Note from the artist about this piece:
A beautiful black and white sunset over a large Oak Tree and cornfield in Ozark, Missouri, United States just south of Springfield, MO. I've been waiting for the perfect sunset this summer to capture this scene as this is only a couple miles from our home. We had some beautiful clouds throughout the day after a short rain storm in the afternoon. About 15 minutes before sunset, the clouds were mostly gone except for some along the horizon. I almost didn't go to capture it because of the lack of clouds. But, surprisingly, these clouds suddenly moved in and it was beautiful so I'm glad I took the chance to get away from the computer. I also have a winter scene of this same field. I love the single large tree. During the summer, this farmer usually plants corn as you can see here. Some years they do something different.
