Note from the artist about this piece:
The red neon sign on the Domino Sugars factory is the classic calling card of Baltimore's Inner Harbor. In operation for over 90 years, the plant continues to produce refined sugar products to this day. The last of the industrial processing plants in the Inner Harbor, the factory is now joined by service sector giants like Legg Mason, TransAmerica and Morgan Stanley.
Fed by cargo ships of raw material from foreign lands, located adjacent to Tide Point and across from Fells Point, the working factory stands as an iconic landmark in the Baltimore Skyline that links back to a more industrial past.
