About Tracey Luckner:
Tracey Luckner is a painter living in Summit, NJ, originally from the Pacific Northwest. Her paintings are an exploration between abstraction and the landscape, with expressive brushstrokes and mark-making bringing a sense of lyricism and movement to the work. She sometimes draws inspiration directly from the landscape, and other times travel, memories, music and ideas from her daily sketchbook inspire her work. She paints intuitively, exploring color, line, form and mark-making, experimenting and layering, until a sense of place emerges and the work conveys a sense of uplift and wonder. Tracey has a BA in Art History from Pomona College in Claremont, CA, which included a semester at the Sorbonne in Paris. She studied painting at the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, as well as with the Creative Visionary Program in Sausalito, CA. Tracey had her first solo show in 2012 and has exhibited widely in New Jersey. Recent solo shows include the Visual Arts Center of NJ in 2023, the Gallery at 350 Bleecker St. in New York City in 2024, and Healing Arts Gallery and Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ in 2025. Her studio is at Manufacturers Village in East Orange, NJ and her work is in collections throughout the US.
