Shauneen Field

About Shauneen Field:

Shauneen Field grew up in the magical Pacific Northwest. She was a competitive runner and in the amateur rodeo circuit until college. Shauneen attended college in the Midwest before returning to the Pacific Northwest for graduate school earning her master’s degree in Social Work and later her LCSW. She worked many years as a mental health counselor and community organizer in Portland’s homeless youth system, as well as a thriving private practice specializing in adolescence.

Shauneen took up painting and drawing in college and continues to successfully show her artwork around the Pacific Northwest. Greatly influenced by the history and beauty of this region, her paintings and drawings are studies of the curiosities of the natural scenes around her, the questions she has about philosophy and theology and expression of personal reflections upon life. Shauneen’s art is always changing as her focus shifts to looking inward, at the greater world around, and the vast unknown.

Shauneen also coaches long distance running for both Oregon Episcopal School and Nike’s Bowerman Track Club, and is a mom to a fiery 12 year-old girl-child.
