Sarah Duncan's images explore the dual relationship of large, observable events in outer-space and diminutive events at the subatomic level. Things that flow, stretch and form anew are characteristics of both the "Quantum Theory":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_theory and the "Theory of Relativity":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory_of_relativity which respectfully predict the behavior of matter on a macro and micro scale. Acting as an investigation of whimsy rooted in the science, these prints express an appreciation for the unknowable while inviting the viewer's imagination to create a starting point for developing a deeper hypothesis.
