Samantha Cortese

As a contemporary abstract expressionist, Samantha Cortese explores the powerful relationship between color and emotion through her intuitive designs. Inspired by dreamlike memories, Samantha brings these emotions to life with bold hues and organic compositions. She is deeply interested in color creation as a means of communicating her perspective on the world and uses acrylic paints and mixed media to craft highly textured works.
Samantha graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. As an emerging artist she entered the Pittsburgh art scene in late 2020 and in just 18 months her artwork was accepted and exhibited in local galleries. Today, her pieces can be found in galleries and home decor stores throughout the area, as well as in private commissions adorning the walls of Pittsburgh businesses and homes. Samantha currently resides in Western Pennsylvania with her husband and two young children.
