About Precious Burger:
Precious Burger is a contemporary mixed media artist whose vibrant, layered paintings explore themes of resilience, identity, and human connection. Growing up in West Virginia, she developed a deep appreciation for creativity, nature, and storytelling through time spent outdoors collecting found objects, building forts, and imagining new worlds.
After earning degrees in Art Education and Special Education from West Virginia University, she spent more than 30 years as an educator before pursuing her art full-time. Her intuitive process combines expressive mark-making, rich texture, and vibrant color to create work rooted in light, love, wonder, joy, and connection. Inspired by the transformative power of creativity, Burger creates paintings that invite reflection, curiosity, and personal interpretation.
Her work has been exhibited throughout the Washington, DC region, including a solo exhibition at the National Institutes of Health and the Arlington Courthouse Tower, and has been featured in publications such as Novum Artis, Artistonish, Arts to Hearts, and Gallerium. She is represented by Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona, and the Circle Foundation for the Arts in France.
