About Nikolay Milushev:

Born on November 22, 1977 in Haskovo, Nikolay Milushev is a contemporary Bulgarian artist whose complex paintings and drawings combine "Pop":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop_art imagery and illustrative art with fanciful realism. Influenced by the "Lowbrow art":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lowbrow_(art_movement) movement, "Otaku":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otaku culture, video games, magazines, technology, "cartography":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cartography and military advancements, Nikolay's work often features social and political commentaries on human nature and how we deal with everyday challenges of life and death, peace and war, love and hate and cultural globalisation.

Masterful draftsmenship and vivid color are essential parts of Milushev's striking and sometimes psychotic style.
During his high school years, he studied at the art school in his native Haskovo. After that, he moved
to the capitol, Sofia, and took lessons in the "National Academy of Art":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Academy_of_Arts. In September of 2001, he moved to the United States where he studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts .

Nikolay has participated in exhibitions in Europe, the United States and South America, and his work is included in many private collections, publications and art catalogues.
