Michael Orwick's paintings are reminders of beauty. The beauty in our lives and in the world around us. They alchemically, naturally, gracefully, consistently resolve to beauty. Even when the starting place is something as completely dark as death, they resolve to find the light.
Orwick's paintings are like beauty giving you a hug. It could be a hug that bears the weight of grief. Or it could be a reorienting pause at the beginning of the day. Either way, these painterly hugs are a conduit to beauty, something we all could use a little of, every day.
