Mary Gerakaris

Canaan, NH

About Mary Gerakaris:

Mary has a unique vision of photography. She finds beauty in both manmade and natural objects. She was a Fine Arts major, studying color theory and composition, before continuing her education in graphic arts and photography. She believes this progression was the wisest decision in her education as it allows her to "paint with her camera." Artists of all persuasions influence her and she loves all styles as long as the "substance" is there.
Mary's background is quite varied and her life has included being an advanced level Therapeutic Riding Instructor, teacher, mother, and passionate gardener. She believes that the more experiences an artist has, the more creative they can be.
Being proud of her community involvement in the arts is important to her, but she has exhibited in venues in Boston, Naples, Florida, and online. She has also given photography classes locally and volunteers at a wonderful and thriving art gallery.
