About Marion Buricatu:
Marion Buricatu is a Franco-American artist who began oil painting when she and her family emigrated to the US in 2001. Her earlier career in France included training in Geophysics and work in the environmental management field.
In addition to studying painting from a variety of teachers, Marion earned a modern art certificate at the MOMA, became a docent at the Worcester Art Museum and now teaches at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. For more about her work, visit her website: marionsworkshop.com
Marion's art connects her two cultures, mixing her life in New England with her memories of the Loire Valley, where she is from. She create art to start conversations and discover how the USA and France are similar and different in daily life. She enjoys sharing the stories behind her art to make the experience richer.
