About Lynn Dunbar:
After graduating Purdue, Lynn was an art director in corporate advertising. While working on a masters’ degree at U of L, she took her first painting class and discovered thick juicy oil paints. She has been painting landscapes and river scenes, Churchill Downs, and National Parks ever since. She won First Place in the 2023 Farm to Forest Plein Air at the Alexandria Museum of Art, and 2023 Judges Award in the Converse Indiana Paint Out.
She enjoys hiking and biking in the landscapes she paints. She also enjoys yoga, pickleball and volunteering for Norton Children’s Hospital and events that help the homeless.
Lynn is a signature member of the American Impressionist Society and Indiana Plein Air Painters. Her work is featured in Southwest Art Magazine and the Plein Air Magazine. She created the Derby and Oaks Poster and the 2018 Woodford Reserve Bourbon Holiday label. Her work is in corporate collections including the Owensboro Hospital, The Moose Lodge, Fifth Third Bank, Brown Forman, and Dell Corp.
