About Liphus Swindall:
Liphus M. Swindall is an artist who works primarily in acrylic, oils and mixed media with a nontraditional approach to landscape motifs and abstraction. Color plays the most important part in his work and subject matter, with shape and form following close behind. Liphus use textural elements to express both bold and subtle aspects of his environment—to capture the rhythm of nature. These textures add a “wow” moment to his work—they are becoming a signature in most of his landscapes. Interested in exploring techniques and materials not often used by traditional artists, Liphus incorporates found objects and sculptural elements into many of my pieces. He earned a BFA from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1994.
