About Lauren Holley:
Lauren Holley is the founder of Atlanta Urban Photo Walkers, a meetup group exploring and documenting Atlanta’s changing cityscape. A seasoned Creative Director with over 25 years of experience, Holley brings an extensive background in painting & illustration to her experimental photographic images. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Visual Communications from The Art Institute of Atlanta.
As a natural light cityscape and street photographer, Holley primarily shoots the tone and mood of the city streets as if they were a character or person. She is most inspired by the awesomeness of light and shadows, how the presence (or absence) of light can change our surroundings, and how we feel in or about them. Depending on the time of day, weather or season, a familiar setting can change drastically into something completely new upon each visit. Or if you’re really lucky, it can be ever-changing by the minute, with the fleeting light and colors of the sun, atmosphere, and ambient or artificial light.
