About Laura Barbosa:
Laura Barbosa is a self-taught artist whose work is celebrated both in the USA and internationally. Living solely off her art, she has built a career as a full-time painter and mixed media artist, with her artwork collected globally. Her creative journey has seen her paintings featured in art books, magazines, and DVDs, as well as displayed in permanent collections, including the Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Barbosa's distinctive style has made an impact on both the art world and popular culture, with her painting “Model” showcased on HGTV’s “Battle on the Block.”
She has participated in numerous art exhibitions, including the prestigious Copelouzos Family Art Museum's “35x35 Art Project". Barbosa’s work was also featured in the “Artwork Celebrating The World of Animals” contest, where her piece “Wisdom Tree” was selected for recognition. Over the years, her art has gained attention for its emotional depth and dynamic range, often inspired by her fascination with surrealism, nature, and the human experience.
