Karen Doyle

Based in Palos Verdes Estates, CA, Karen Doyle is a painter whose work draws inspiration from her relationship with nature. Her modern depictions of the landscape and native blooms range from representational to abstract. She is known for her award-winning oil paintings of Oregon and California, many completed on location (en plein air). Her artwork is frequently informed by the goldens, greens and blues of the California Bay Area where she was raised. Karen holds a bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in visual arts from UC San Diego, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in fine art from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, OR. She spends her time painting, teaching art to children and adults, and exploring the coastal towns of the South Bay of Southern California.
