Kailani Banasik

I’m Kailani, an Illustrator from Connecticut with a love for anything cute, silly, and fun. I experiment and explore digital and traditional materials such as gouache. I have a beautiful mini dachshund named Penny, who helps me come up with many of the things I draw. I see my work as a window to how I would illustrate my stories and display whimsy for all to see. Taking stories and concepts and giving them life with color and silliness is my goal as an illustrator, with my hopes to engage in the kidlit world. I take inspiration from everything around me, from video games to the people and animals in my life, and morph it into something fantastical and fun.
