Jodi Ferrier is a Washington, DC-based artist whose contemporary paintings gracefully navigate the space between abstraction and representation. Ferrier’s approach to painting is deeply intuitive, where each mark, drip, or line carries emotional resonance and contributes to the overall harmony of the piece. She approaches the canvas with vigor, using bold, lively brushstrokes to create paintings that embody wonder, optimism, and hope.
Ferrier has been awarded multiple Artist Fellowships by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and has participated in prestigious Artist in Residency programs both nationally and internationally. Her work has been exhibited extensively throughout the DC metropolitan area and can be found in private collections, commercial properties, as well as the DC Government.
