About Jessica Ziegler:
Jessica Ziegler is a New York City–based realist urban artist whose representational oil paintings capture the quiet, often overlooked moments of urban life. Her work explores the interplay between architecture and nature, focusing on elements such as ironwork structures, riverfront edges, and the surprising persistence of the natural world in the city. Light and shadow serve as the central “characters” in her compositions, transforming everyday scenes through fleeting shifts in illumination. After leaving a career in technology in 2016, Ziegler studied at the New York Academy of Art, 92NY, and the Art Students League. Her award-winning paintings have appeared in numerous juried exhibitions, including recent shows at the Dacia Gallery, Atlantic Gallery, Salmagundi Galleries, the Rice Gallery, the Marblehead Arts Association, and the Maryland Federation of Art. She is a member of the New York Artists Equity Association, the Hudson River Art Collective, and a Signature Member of the National Association of Women Artists.
