About Jessica Puma:
Jessica Puma (b. 1976, Philadelphia) is an American painter of Italian and Dutch heritage whose work moves between abstraction and representation. Her architectural paintings explore space, memory, and emotional resonance, while her new work, Consolation Flowers, meditates on solace in grief and the fleeting beauty of nature. For Puma, painting is a practice of listening — to the echoes of a place, the weight of memory, and the quiet poetry of everyday life.
She earned her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and a BA in Studio Art and Art History from the University of Maryland at College Park, with study abroad in Calcutta and Paris shaping her layered, contemplative approach.
