About Jeffrey Hummel:
Jeffrey Hummel is a contemporary fine art photographer from northern Colorado.
Jeffrey's photography is an art of observation; finding something extraordinary in an ordinary place. He has been influenced by the works of Helmut Newton, Masao Yamamoto, and Armin Mersmann.
Believing that seeing is a creative process, Jeff works under two precepts: firstly, that there be simplicity of composition, and secondly, that he maintains a level of receptivity that frees him from premeditated ideas.
His original photographs are printed using only archival, exhibition grade materials. They are laid flat, covered with a single sheet of acid-free parchment, corner mounted between rigid hinged layers of protective acid-free materials, and then securely air-pillow packaged for shipment.
