Broxon brings a background of fine art, book illustration and surface pattern design to each piece she creates, reflecting a passion for patterns, vivid colors and storytelling. She is especially attracted to patterns from nature, folk art and cultures around the world. Broxon is often told, that the imaginative and intricate style of her work, makes for engaging viewing that draws a person into the picture to discover even more. Many of her artworks are displayed in pediatric facilities and children’s hospitals around the country. Broxon has also created illustrations for numerous publishing companies and has illustrated two children’s picture books. She has licensed her art to many manufacturers in the bolt fabric, gift and home décor markets. Broxon works in a combination of traditional media, and the computer to capture her personal take on this fascinating, colorful world. Originally from California, she now lives in Mid-Coast Maine.
