About Jamie Donahue:
Jamie's process always begins and ends in unique and unknown places. She searches for materials in boxes left behind. Old romance comic books, postcards, scrapbooks, letters…
She finds freedom in cutting, tearing and forming new perspectives out of old media and outdated messages. Lately she's been exploring colors and motion creating monoprints using a gel plate printmaking.
Her work has been exhibited in San Francisco and Mill Valley, California and in Greenwich, Stamford and New Canaan, Connecticut. Her work was selected in 2007 and 2010 for the always anticipated annual regional juried show, Art of the Northeast, at the Silvermine Arts Center in New Canaan, CT
