About Jack Anthony:

Jack Anthony is a North Georgia photographer, author, and retired engineer whose work celebrates the beauty and character of the southern Appalachian Mountains. A 1951 graduate of the University of North Georgia (then North Georgia College) with a degree in physics, he served three years in the U.S. Army before beginning a long career with DuPont in South Carolina and Wilmington, Delaware. While working full-time, he earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.
After retiring in 1988, he and his wife, June, returned to his hometown of Dahlonega, Jack became interested in photography while developing the local Chamber of Commerce's original website. Photography classes at North Georgia College inspired him to explore North Georgia's mountains and waterfalls with a camera, leading to the publication of four hardcover photography books featuring the region’s mountain scenery and waterfalls. Collectively, his books have sold more than 12,000 copies, and his photography has been exhibited in one-man shows and collected throughout Georgia.
