Hannah Holshouser

North Hollywood, CA

About Hannah Holshouser:

Hannah is a fine art photographer from a rural area of North Carolina.

Hannah's current studio work is based in memory and landscape construction. She uses both film and digital cameras, attempting to exploit the properties and functions of each medium. As a photographer, Hannah considers herself very traditional, believing that what the camera produces is both truth and fiction. Her photographs are not digitally manipulated beyond the traditional darkroom techniques of burning and dodging.

She has a B.F.A. in art design and an M.F.A. in studio arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She also spent a year at the "Maine Media Workshops":http://www.mainemedia.edu earning a professional certificate in photography.
