About Hal Bohner:
Hal Bohner lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He creates works that range from traditional land and seascapes in oils and watercolors to prints that are digitally created and can be considered abstract landscapes. His paintings and prints are the product of a lifelong passion for nature, and they explore powerful forces of the natural world such as wind and surf.
Bohner’s career began as an engineer and evolved into legal practice as a lawyer protecting the California coast. He has always loved art, and over time he found ways to piece together an art education by participating in workshops, reading, and studying at academic institutions. He has studied with well-known artists such as Mike Hernandez, Brian Blood, Lori Putnam, Alysanne McGaffey, Robert Dvorak, and Zoltan Szabo, with a focus on watercolor and oil painting and portrait drawing.
