About Freddie Ipson:
Freddie Ipson works with watercolors creating a few abstract styles with inspirations from Rorshach tests, the Japanese calligraphy Shodo, Suprematism, Gestalt principles and the philosophy of Universals. The collection has themes of architectural, geometric shapes, floral, action painting, stream of consciousness and using Hypnagogia to evoke color palettes. All the paintings were made by turning the canvas 90 degrees periodically giving the viewer a final outcome of 4 different ways to hang it. There is no wrong way to hang the paintings!
Freddie moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and attended The Groundlings comedy school for 5 years writing sketches and performing in shows across Los Angeles. He then worked as a music arranger for the dance company Body Groove providing original music for their at home DVDs and mobile app. He also has a card game on his website that was created with his Aunt and named PIMPT. Besides being creative, he has a passion for physics, psychology, and philosophy which also translates to his watercolors.
He currently has been in 2 shows in Los Angeles, both being the Culver City art walk and this year will showcase at the Montana Ave art walk in Santa Monica.
