About Ellen Hui:
Ellen Hui is a photo-based visual artist and practicing optometrist whose work explores the space between seeing and feeling, between the external world and the inner mind. Drawing inspiration from expansive landscapes, vibrant cities, and intimate moments of everyday life, she transforms visual encounters into personal reflections shaped by experience, memory, and introspection.
With a background in optics and visual perception, Ellen brings a distinctive perspective to her image-making. Her work has received recognition from Sony Alpha Female and the International Photography Awards, been exhibited at Southampton Cultural Center, and featured in LensCulture’s Critics’ Choice Gallery, F-Stop Magazine, and the 500px Ambassador’s Pick Galleries.
