About Diana Stelin:
Diana Stelin is an artist, educator, TEDx speaker, and founder of a creative hub in Brookline, Massachusetts. Her atmospheric paintings explore the space between representation and abstraction, drawing inspiration from travel, memory, and the fragile relationship between people and the natural world. Known for her signature "melting" forms, layers of luminous color, and textured surfaces incorporating oil, wax, and gold leaf, Stelin creates work that invites viewers to slow down, reflect, and discover beauty in impermanence.
Her paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally, including participation in the 2022 Venice Biennale, and are held in private and corporate collections throughout the United States and abroad.
In addition to her studio practice, Stelin is the founder of the Plein-Air Art Academy and Gallery, an award-winning creative center serving children, adults, and organizations throughout Greater Boston. Her work as an educator and speaker has led her to explore the intersection of creativity, resilience, and human flourishing. Her TEDx talk, Creativity as an Antidote to Burnout, has inspired a broader mission: helping people use creativity not merely to make art, but to navigate change, build confidence, and reconnect with themselves and one another.
Today, Stelin's creativity workshops and keynote programs have been delivered for organizations including Google, AstraZeneca, Ropes & Gray, Deloitte, State Street, and Brigham & Women's Hospital. Across her work as an artist, educator, and speaker, she remains committed to one central belief: creativity is not a luxury—it is a fundamental human capacity for growth, connection, and transformation.
