About Deniz Ercelebi:
Deniz Erçelebi was born in Ankara, Turkey. She received a BA in Industrial Design from Middle East Technical University in 1999. After working as an interactive designer in New York City for six years, she relocated to Richmond, VA where she continues to design and create arts and crafts in her home studio. Her subjects are usually women and animals in pop-surreal settings. She uses her photography and experiments with traditional techniques as well as digital illustration.
