About David Reed:
David Reed was born and raised in Johnstown, PA and remembers making portraits with poster paints on colored construction paper and pastel and watercolor landscape paintings at a very early age. Visual recreation from life has always been his passion and David pursued formal art study at the Columbus College of Art and Design in fine arts and later at the University of Iowa where he received an MFA in photography. His art reflects his wide range of interests from realistic landscape painting in oils or watercolor to a more abstract collage approach in paint and paper.
David has taught in the digital design and graphics department at the Columbus State Community College and also in many workshop settings while exhibiting locally in Ohio with the Ohio Watercolor Society and nationally at the Bulter Institute of American Art.
