About Danika Moir:
Danika Moir is a multidisciplinary artist working across mediums such as painting, fibre art, photography, and lino cut. Her work largely focuses on storytelling and connection, through light, colour, and reflections on memory. Most of Danika's inspiration is drawn from her experiences with her environment, her struggle with illness, and the natural world she feels a deep connection to.
Academically, Danika is a trained Historian, holding a BA from Toronto Metropolitan University, and is passionate about researching, preserving, and telling stories. She has no formal arts education, but after a laborious four years in university she launched herself into art, which is reflected throughout her multidisciplinary practice.
In January 2025, Danika hosted her first solo gallery show, at the 978 Queen St West Show Gallery in Toronto, Ontario.
