About Cyrus Lemmon:
Cyrus Lemmon was born in Colorado, raised in California and currently divides his time between the varied landscapes of his home-studios in Joshua Tree, CA and Costa Rica, Central America.
His paintings and drawings feature richly textured surfaces and visceral imagery comprised of bisecting organic and geometric components. This content reflects his interest in the visual aesthetics created by the often antagonistic relationship between human development and the natural world.
Cyrus holds an M.F.A. degree in painting from California State University at Chico. He has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards and he maintains an active exhibition schedule.
