About Courtney Heather:
Courtney Heather's influences stem from being raised in the suburbs of Southern California, an ideal setting that allures and deceits. She creates art inspired by the ideas that provoke such pleasure in being seduced by the familiar and the unknown.
After living and studying abroad in London for 2 years, tourists all over Europe have become a huge influence in Courtney's practice. The notion of capturing temporary moments and allowing them to exist eternally – ex: photographs, souvenirs, etc. is mirrored through painting.
Courtney has a BA in Studio Art from California State University, San Bernardino, and received a MFA with distinction from Wimbledon College of Art shortly after.
