About Christine James:
Christine James creates bold, expressive art full of gorgeous color, primarily in the form of mixed media abstracts and abstract landscapes. Art has always been a passion in Christine's life, beginning as a child growing up in Houston. After a 20 year career as a psychologist, she feels grateful to now spend her time exploring her own inner landscape and the world around her, this time with paint, via shape, color, line and abstraction. Christine is inspired by music and emotion; the light in the sky and the colors created on water and clouds, on shapes and casting shadows. Christine currently lives with her family in Austin, Texas. She teaches art, creates originals and commissioned pieces, and has shown her work in Austin and Seattle.
