About Belinda Lima:
Belinda was born and raised in London, England and moved to the Bay Area, California in 1989 where she began her art career.
She is fascinated by and especially drawn to abstract art, figurative art, urbanlife/cityscapes, skylines and architectural structures.
Belinda works primarily in mixed media with acrylic and collage papers and occasionally oil and cold wax. She strives to capture the essence of a city or a figure and to convey a feeling or mood about her subject while using abstraction and minimalism. Geometric elements,pattern, texture and color are prominent in her work.
She has numerous awards including Best of Show in local, state and International shows including acceptance into the Triton Museum of Art Statewide show and the annual Left Coast Exhibition. Belinda has shown her work at Gallery24, Los Gatos and Studio Gallery, San Francisco and participates regularly in Silicon Valley Open Studios.
Belinda continues to enjoy working at her studio at The Alameda Artworks, San Jose.
