About Barry Boobis:

"Musical Visions" is Boobis' body of work, spanning all apects of music from jazz to rock, from dance and athletics to spirit, and beyond! His great grandfather wrote the "Hatikvah," the national anthem of Israel and before Boobis was a painter, he was a writer, so there is a "river of words" which run through the art, which is indeed indivisable from the work. In his salad days Boobis worked in TV News for ABC-TV and NBC-TV as a writer, and after an intense regimen of Zen Meditation he began to "see" the music, the dance and the athletics as one entity at a deeper level of reality. Over the years Boobis has been featured at the Newport Jazz Festival, the Ward Nasse Gallery in SoHo, New York, the Berkeley Gallery on Madison Ave., N.Y. and other venues on the Eastern Seaboard. Boobis hopes that the offerings of Musical Visions will encourage you to "think out of the box" and more importantly, to experience the joy and spiritual elevation of MUSIC, DANCE and ATHLETICS!
