Annie Heisey

Annie Heisey is an artist and educator based in Pittsburgh, PA. She received her BFA from Penn State University in 2003 and her MFA from Boston University in 2007.
Through unusual imagery and color combinations her oil paintings turn the familiar into the beautifully strange, inviting you to question what is real – and what you choose to believe.
Heisey’s work has been exhibited nationally in galleries and institutions such as the Boston Center for the Arts in Boston, MA, Lemieux Galleries in New Orleans, LA, and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, PA. She has been highlighted in publications such as The Boston Globe and included in multiple exhibition catalogues from institutions such as The Boston Center for the Arts and The Fitchburg Art Museum. Her work is in both private and corporate collections including the Arthur S. Goldberg collection and The Pittsburgh Foundation.
