Anne Cook

Lowell, MA

About Anne Cook:

Anne was born in Philadelphia, and grew up in Broomall, Pennsylvania. When she was seven years old, she attended a Van Gogh exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and quickly realized she wanted to be an artist.

Her paintings often feature familiar, everyday objects, people and places. Each piece is softly rendered, colorful and carefully composed.

In addition to regular visits to the museum as a child, Anne also traveled in the US and Canada, and visited New England in the summer. She holds a B.F.A. from Tyler School of Art, Temple University in Philadelphia and Rome, with a major in painting. She was enrolled in the Tyler Abroad Program in Rome, Italy during her junior year. She presently resides in the Boston area. She has received many commissions for private clients, publishers and institutions.
