Alison Crary

Alison has lived in Prescott, AZ since 2013 and decided to pursue art full time after working for a decade as an Occupational Therapist. Alison loves to explore the rugged beauty of the southwest by hiking, backpacking, paddling, climbing or riding horses, and reference photos for paintings usually come from these adventures. As she continues to develop her style using soft pastels on sanded paper, she strives to capture the feel of experiencing these places over photorealism. She is especially captivated by the varying moods created by light and atmosphere in the outdoors, and hopes to to uplift and encourage viewers through her art.
