Note from the artist about this piece:
An aerial view that looks down on 34th in Manhattan. The flattening of the picture plane reduces the details to graphic shapes, using more pattern and grid than representation. The multiple stripes are graphic interpretations of the roofs. The apartment next door and streets below are visible.
